How would you go about peeling off a wallpaper border?

Posted by admin on November 21st, 2010 and filed under wallpaper and border | 2 Comments »

Apparently, this border has some kind of hard core adhesive on it. Peeling it off just rips it and leaves parts of it still remaining. Help?

You need to go and buy some wallpaper remover, it works very well. You can get it at Walmart, Lowes, or probably any hardware store. Good luck.

wall paper border??????????????????????/?

how do i hang wallpaper border alone???

It’s a pain, for sure. I always look like a monkey trying to hump a football when I try to hang borders on my own but I have come up with a couple of strategies. Unless you have a scaffold you can stretch the length of the wall so you can easily walk the whole length, it is hard to keep what you’ve put up in place while you move the ladder down to the next section. What I have found works best (if you have drywall) is to take 3 or 4 good push pin , start in one corner and tack up one end of the border, wrapping about an inch around the adjacent wall. Then let the paper droop loosely and move your ladder to the other end of the wall, carrying the border with you. Then climb up and carefull stretch the border out from the tacked end and start smoothing it onto the wall, working your way towards the tacked end (you will pull out the tacks when you get there and smooth out the slack). Borders tend to be 15 feet long so you can usually smooth out the few feet to the end around the corner in an average sized room before having to move the ladder. The tiny tack holes won’t show once you get to that first end and smooth it out — if you can push the pins through a dark area of the pattern it is best though.

If you have lath and plaster walls 9so push pins don’t pierce it easily) you can also use a 10 foot long two by four wooden stud — nail a sponge to the end and pull an old sock or pantihose over it and then lean this soft cushioned end diagonally against the start of the border to hold it in place after you smooth it down and while you move the ladder (wedge the stud against a heavy piece of furniture so it stays in place).

Is it considered left or right wing to support your country’s borders?

if one believes that thier country should have strict border and customs policies, would this be considered a left or right wing ideology?

I’d think the Americans would be the ones supporting it, possibly because they’re the ones who’ll have to live with it.

How much exercise is needed for the average Border Collie?

Posted by admin on November 13th, 2010 and filed under border | 5 Comments »

I have two border collies and their exercise needs are very different! They both came from the same litter (I raised both as puppies) but one is a boy and the other is a girl. So far they are both 3 years old. The boy needs only around 30 minutes of exercise a day to be happy and calm while the girl can run for days on end before she gets tired! What’s the normal amount of exercise needed for the average border collie?

As much exercise as you can give them. Also, give them a job to do (herding, obedience, agility, SOMETHING). They are working dogs, and have that mindset whether or not you work them, but they should always want to do a job or help you in some way.

Mine is a service dog, so she is always alert and focused, which can take a lot out of her, but I take her on a run first thing in the morning, on a walk on my lunch at work, and to the park for ball on the way home from work.

She also relies heavily on routine, and if you break that routine, no amount of exercise will calm her down. If you can put both pups on a schedule and keep to it fairly closely, do so. They will be much happier for it.

lance has 4000 meters of fencing to enclose a rectangular land that borders on a wall of a building.?

Posted by admin on November 4th, 2010 and filed under wall borders | 3 Comments »

if he does not fence the side along the wall, what is the longest area that can be enclosed?

Did you intentionally leave out the length of the wall?

(4000 m – wall length) / 2 = length of fencing perpendicular to the wall.

(length of fencing perpendicular to the wall) x (wall length) = Area

What colour border would go with a white and yellow hallway walls?

Posted by admin on November 1st, 2010 and filed under border | 4 Comments »

Hi. I am currently painting my new place and i have painted the hallway white but have decided to include my original choice of yellow but instead by having two toned walls, with white at the top and yellow at the bottom. However, i would also like to include a border in the middle of the colour split and was wondering which colours border would go with a white (top) and yellow (bottom) walls please??? Thank you all in advance

Perhaps a wood strip like those used for chair rails, in white high gloss paint, would look more polished and sophisticated than a wallpaper border. If you go w. the wallpaper type, go to a paint store and choose a border w. your colours in the pattern, so it won’t be needlessly busy.
