I am 43 and had … I am 43 and had never really listen to Al Stewart I have heard Time Passages and Year of the Cat, this is a great song made me look for more of his music
are you speaking … are you speaking about SEX REVOLUTION?…cause politically I just remember like today ones! ..and the revolutionists became capitalism slaves today kissing and doin coke!…nothin to do with the song (great!)
thanx AL to give me … thanx AL to give me the memories of my childhood in italy when terrorism was called brigate rosse and the channels were 2 and in black and white!…the radio and your songs and a FIAT 500 !!!
Not all Muslims are … Not all Muslims are terrorists. The shooter at Fort Hood isn’t proof of this ignorance. Would you call all Americans terrorists because of the Uni-Bomber or the Oklahoma bomber were Americans? I should hope not. Bad apples come in all colors. Don’t let one bad apple spoil the whole apple cart.
This is a great little song. Brings back a lot of memories for me too. Lets not ruin it with hate speech shall we?
I remember when Al … I remember when Al played at my restaurant in Maui in 1977. He played Hendrix’s All along the watchtower. I remember it like it was yesterday.
i was a youngster … i was a youngster back in that era, it was coolest. we spoke our minds today problem is we allowed to many monorities in power and all this up political correctness came about look it what hapen in fort hood??? even the media is afraid to call it what it is, hes a muslim terrorists, for sure if he were white and a christan the media would be all over this!!!!
This music was from … This music was from a long gone era where the revolutionary spirit was still very much alive and people could actually see beyond the next acquisition. Alas, too many people today could not appreciate this sort of spirit as they are too busy conforming and being “correct’…
Didn’t even really … Didn’t even really know Al Stewart that much til someone told me to check it out, that’s actually great. If you have time, click on my name to check my channel and original songs, especially the songs called Soul of a Woman and In the Neighborhood (this one is slow so give it a full listen before judging), thx!!!
A great song by Al … A great song by Al Stewart that is not played much anymore at all. I had forgotten all about this song until finding it unexpectedly on youtube. Thanks for posting.
Even looks like … Even looks like George Harrison a little if you REALLY look at Al Stewart. They almost look like brothers somewhat when they were younger. They would have make a great “duo” singing on a few songs together. Their voices would have matched up quite nicely.
