This is a great sounding band. Kinda reminds me of a cross between early Penumbra and Dimmu Borgir. I’m going to have to look into them more:)

I don´t think football or demons would be more poetic. A tragedy is a very poetic subject, but also a very difficult one.
There is a thin line between sorrow and self-pity. For me, this clearly crosses the line and I think it is just for those pathetic emo kids wallowing in it.
I don´t say that everyone who likes this song is an emo. But these lyrics ARE emo nevertheless.

Oh, right, it should be about football or demons because that is much more poetic. I suppose all poems about loss or tragedy are emo? Why not go one further and say any good book, no matter the amount of action it contains, that provokes an emotional response from the reader is emo?
