I have a mate who works for Mercedes and they got a brand new top of the range 4WD sent back to them on a tow truck, cause the owner tried to drive it thru a deep river and hydraulicly locked the engine, bent every conrod – totally it – Guy had balls.. but was a complete idiot! no snorkel, and kept trying to start it with a gutload of water in the engine! – car had 60km on the Odometer.
you don’t have to … you don’t have to be rude, most of them are joy coz they work well when you go off road. But when people buy the Mercedes 4WD you no they are dumb coz they are only there to look good…..
I would never own a … I would never own a new car – why spend 40-90 k on a car, when you can achieve more in something for an 1/8th of the price and not have to worry about it!
if you want safety, technology.. shiny – spend your cash on some over priced plastic that depreciates in value by a third, or falls apart after a year or 2.
REAL offroading – requires more than big rubber and air lockers. and no amount of wax will save you from a big dent from a boulder when your almost tipped over in a ditch lol
