Are wallpaper borders in fashion?

Hi everyone,I am just decorating my lounge,I am a little confused,I thought about a border to go around the room,But I have conflicting opinions,Some say fine others say not in fashion,What do you think?
I know its personal preference,But I want the room to look nice and up to date,Please help you nice ladies

i would say a NO NO to borders if you want a modern look

Best and easiest way to remove a wallpaper border ?

A few years ago my mom put up these blue bow borders on my wall. Now I’m 14 and I hate it . Plus my mom will be painting my room gray tomorrow . So are there any ways a 14 year old girl can remove by herself ? (mom’s tired and I don’t want to put anymore work on her for today)

Easy job. Peel off the top layer. You’ll be left with a paper-like substance. Spray on some hot water and fabric softener. Get it really wet and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. A kitchen spatula will easily scrape off the paper and the glue.

Is it difficult to hang wallpaper?

I have a small half bath downstairs that I want to wallpaper. The wallpaper would be from Lowes pre-pasted. I’ve had a lot of experience taking old wallpaper down, and hanging wallpaper borders, but have never wallpapered an entire room. Is this something I can tackle on my own or do I need a professional?

I am a true do it yourself person…..however there are a few things to think about before you throw yourself into this project….
1. The other answers have all good points
2. Who will your partner/helper be? I would suggest not your husband/significant other since this can be very stressful..find a friend and try to make it as non-stessful as possible
3. A bathroom is a very difficult room to wallpaper since there are a lot of things to cut around; since it is small it will be more difficult; smaller space to move around, more chances for mistakes.
4. consider the wallpaper pattern…will it be an easy one to match up?

If you can handle all of that…then go for it. Just a thought though…Painting is a cheaper, faster, less stressful route to take. Have fun!

Short video presenting updated jelly windows to 6.0, new center panel and some optimizations made in recent 14062009 build of Nimi Visuals.

Problem with borders is caused by not-being capable to capture DWM themes directly (I only have Vista Basic, and it requesting DWM thumbnail didn’t work at all), anyway looks way better with standard core as those are captured by separate NV graphics engine than used for DWM ones. Also consider that it’s kind of hard to capture those on video.

Nimi Visuals is freeware for non-commercial use effects and customization engine for Windows platform offering over 30 inbuilt effects as well as plugin support, repositories supporting even 3rd part customization software. Project started on 11th September 2008 – with currently featuring 10th major version line.

How/Where do I get a custom designed printed onto wallpaper or pitch my design?

I am an illustrator, and yesterday I drew up a wallpaper border design I really like. If nothing else, I’d like to get it printed so I can hang it in my studio. Ideally, I’d like to attempt to pitch it to a wallpaper company. Where do I get either or both of these things done?
