Quick attempt at entering Armada Music Singing Competition. I found out at the LAST possible moment and I might have went past the due date during uploading. I was rushed and didn’t have a tripod and so I simply just held the camera and sung. Please do enjoy my lovely kitchen with it’s peeling wallpaper border…major fail. After reviewing the other contestants I think I really could have a shot at winning but wanted to be more prepared.

Lyrics:
I remember the songs you sang to me
When I was a babe in arms
Oh, my stars, oh, my stars
Will you navigate me home
We are princes and princesses
So our pauper fathers told us
As they carried us through darkened streets
With eyes sad as soldiers
To where no country and no colours and no borders
Can hurt us again
I remember the songs you sang to me
When I was a child in arms
Oh, my stars, oh, my stars
Will you guide me to my home
Are they your brothers and sisters?
Or someone’s sons and daughters?
Did they flee the Gods of war?
Did they place their faith in water
So no country and no colours and no borders
Could hurt them again
Na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na
And the man in the moon
Sees the man on the ground collapse
And the man on the scene
Says to the boy in the jeans
“Keep it real, kid, just give us the facts”
“Keep it real, kid, just give us the facts”
“Keep it real, kid…”
I remember the songs you sang to me
At night when the seas were calm
Oh, my stars, oh, my stars
Please deliver me from harm
And the night sky’s inverted and
Reflected in the ocean
And the stars guide us through
Ever deep the darkness
To where no country and no colours and no borders
Will turn us away
Na na na na na na na
Na na na na na
Na na na na na na na
Na na na na na
And the man in the moon
Looks down and he turns his back
As the man in the coat
Says to the lost on the boat
“Keep it real, kid, just give us the facts”
“Keep it real, kid, just give us the facts”
“Keep it real, kid…”
I remember the songs you sang to me
When the lightening skies were calmed
Oh, my stars, oh, my stars
Please deliver me from harm
Oh, my stars, oh, my stars
Deliver me from harm

This song is dedicated to Anarchists Against The Wall and all the ones who fight against the apartheid in Palestine
lyrics:
They build walls, they steal the land
The world ignores, deaf and blind..
The world ignores the tragedy of the exiles
Since Six days war Israel denies
No passage to Ramallah.. the invader now forbids
Theyre all ghurba**. No way for the refugees
They build walls, they steal the land
The world ignores, deaf and blind..
I hate the frontiers, I hate the borders
Borders of the body, of the writing, of the behaviours
Of the states..***
People lead to famine, convicted in a cage
Sheltered by U.S.A. the executioners take no blame
They build walls, they steal the land
The world ignores, deaf and blind..
* barrier
** refugee

Amazing song from the Ghost Of Tom Joad Album.
LYRICS:
Tonight my bag is packed
Tomorrow I’ll walk these tracks
That will lead me across the border
Tomorrow my love and I
Will sleep ‘neath auburn skies
Somewhere across the border
We’ll leave behind my dear
The pain and sadness we found here
And we’ll drink from the Bravo’s muddy waters
Where the sky grows gray and white
We’ll meet on the other side
There across the border
For you I’ll build a house
High up on a grassy hill
Somewhere across the border
Where pain and memory
Pain and memory have been stilled
There across the border
And sweet blossoms fill the air
Pastures of gold and green
Roll down into cool clear waters
And in your arms ‘neath open skies
I’ll kiss the sorrow from your eyes
There across the border
Tonight we’ll sing the songs
I’ll dream of you my corazón
And tomorrow my heart will be strong
And may the saints’ blessing and grace
Carry me safely into your arms
There across the border
For what are we
Without hope in our hearts
That someday we’ll drink from God’s blessed waters
And eat the fruit from the vine
I know love and fortune will be mine
Somewhere across the border

Swine Flu or Swinish Thinking? by Michael Savage –
So it appears now that the swine flu, which I have dubbed the Janet Napolitano Flu, is now in the verge of becoming a world wide pandemic. People have now become sick on American soil as the result of this disease, which if handled properly could easily have been kept out. Government offices and restaurants are being closed across Mexico. But what should have been closed first and foremost were the borders. Stop people from Mexico, where the disease started, from coming into the United States and spreading it further. Close down all trade and travel between the United States and Mexico. All the known cases of this disease can be traced directly to someone who had traveled to our good neighbor to the south.
But the government has ignorantly and stupidly refused to do the very thing that is necessary for survival. Again, its liberalism has proved to be a mental disorder. Piggish thinking is enabling the spread of the swine flu. You have Obama saying that it wouldnt do any good to close the borders because that would be closing the barn door after the horses got out.
Ignorance! Stupidity! At that point why didnt some journalist ask the wonderful Mr. Obama a simple question? What about additional cases of swine flu that will come into the United States from Mexico to spread the disease even further? It may be in the country now, but wouldnt it prevent more illness and more deaths if they were to shut down the borders to stop the contagion? Apparently not.
Apparently all the crooked employers in the US that employ illegal aliens think their bottom line is more important than thousands of people getting sick in this country because of swine flu. Apparently the owners of companies who send goods into the United States with Mexican truckers think that their business trumps the health of American citizens. And apparently the airlines are so concerned with their business that they wouldnt dare allow this administration to stop their flights even if it means the health of thousands of American could be preserved.
