The Berlin Wall – to the rest of the world – is the symbol of the division of Europe. Its not what ended communism. Its not what started the collapse of communism. It is purely the symbol of a divided Europe!

    i cant believe …
i cant believe there are still some people bragging about GREAT COMUNISM… i guess they just did not touched the real nature of “freedom” in comunism… or just stayed aside and watched it ruin the others lives… what we have now… is not perfect at all!!! but its better than what we had before!!!

    U fight …

    @dzubol88
U fight with “bastard from Ukraine” since 1648. And every time u lose. U know why? Because u treat them as “bastards”. Learn your own history.

    P.S. I am not Ukrainian.

    Idon’t know if i …
Idon’t know if i even want to be considered a European anymore. Democracy is great, capitilism, however, is NOT. You want rich people to control your life forever? Thats what it is, Capitalism is based upon those who can get rich can get even richer. The middle class, not so much.

  6. TEHNIQUE1993 Says:

    pure propaganda

    pure propaganda
    capitalism is credit card
credit card is you have what is not yours
you dont have 100 procent sure job, some are rich, many are poor, THAT IS YOUR FREEDOM
I mean yes poles where killed, and everything, I respect all of that, but people, there is no future with the capitalsm…
you can speak what you want, you can do what you want if you have a credit card, but you pay for that for the rest of your life…
in comunism its all about the worker, not about the one capitalist…

    This video is …
This video is beautiful! THE FALL OF BERLIN WALL STARTED A BETTER LIFE IN OUR EUROPE … but COLLAPSE OF POLISH WALL SHOWED THE POSSIBILITY OF MAKING THAT. GAVE A SPARK which became the fire in Berlin. The largest blood our fathers shed. That can’t be ignored. Therefore disappionted Poles gave those comments to that “20 years of liberty – long version” which contains only 6 Polish secons as an additional part of the revolution. Thanks for the memory anyway.

  8. dzubol88 Says:

I am so grateful to all my Polish and European ancestors that contributed those amazing and unexpected changes. I have many friends in Germany, France, UK and Italy, Thanks of that I feel as a real European. But I have also friends in Ukraine, Russia and Bielarus. Please don’t forget that they are also Europeans but they still need our support.

I was born in Poland in January 1981, when Solidarity movement was created and later in 13 December Jaruzelski intoduced the martial low.
Dear Europeans and all people whole around the world, I would like to express that I am extremely and deeply happy that now I can live in free country, in free Poland which was not given nor to my parents neither to my grandparents.

The Europe was divided by the “iron curtain”, those who don’t know how it was like behind it won’t understand how important those changes were..

    @ktabanyi, it made …
@ktabanyi, it made me cry, too. Born in Romania in 1976, was 13 when 1100 died in Romania so I can be free and enjoy the world. What some people don’t understand is that freedom means that you have to decide for yourself, not seek a government (others) to decide for you. Not easy for many who weren’t prepared/educated for a life in freedom. But there is no greater joy than be free!

  14. lesdegas Says:

    What to you call …
What to you call Eastern Europe? The Wall is still here, in the minds of people like you. You live on a mental island and this drive to isolation will bring you misery some day.

  15. skowalsky Says:

    I guess It’s pretty …
I guess It’s pretty much the same all over Eastern Europe.

  16. FallingLikeAlice Says:

I’m so sick of the …
I’m so sick of the xenophobia and hate and racist comments on youtube. What is the matter with people. Live and let live. One world, one race, one people!
No doubt some idiot will send me a hate message for this, but yah, guess what I’m going to send it straight on and report you to youtube and get your asse banned if you do!
DON@T waste your time with spams or hate messages.
    DEMOCRACY AND FREEDOM FOR ALL!
    ONE WORLD ONE PEOPLE!!

  17. Guevaristas Says:

    it was not ” …
it was not “communism”, as in communism there exists no state. Read VI Lenin’s “The State and Revolution” (pub.1918).

The ones featured in this vids are western traitor pigs, send them a MacBurger

  18. ktabanyi Says:

    Born in 1979. Lived …
Born in 1979. Lived 10 years behind the Iron Curtain, behind the Wall. Was 10 when the democratical change came. I still remember, that everyone was so excited in 1989.
And now maybe the life is not the easiest in my homeland, Hungary. But I guess, we have a lot of opportunities, we just have to know the way to take them instead of complaining about everything. That’ s all.
This video is touching me, makes me remember my childhood, makes me cry, makes me happy.
Just think positive. It helps :)

    you should be …
you should be ashamed of your lack of knowledge and not of your fellow country men…the irish have finally decided to stay in europe and not to isolate themselves from the rest of europe which would have weakened their country…the time of single national states is pretty much over in europe just get over it and move on with time. and europe won’t wage any war at all jesus christ

  20. sevendarkdays Says:

    Against whom?
    The …

    Against whom?
The greatest threat to the EU is EU itsefl, and in that case you wouldn’t have been spared either way.

But the thought is silly if anything.
The EU’s 1 purpouse in modern times is merely economic.

Which is why (according to irish) that the Irish voted yes this time around.
Last time their economy was up, now it’s down and voila they decie that it would be a nice economic boost.

  21. ghostsnake666 Says:

I am so glad to be …
I am so glad to be Irish, really i am… from the bottom of my heart! I, at least had a voice in the VERY LAST democratic decision of all europeans that could change anything. I, at least had the chance to give the middle finger to Brussels. I’m incredibly ashamed of my fellow country men. But im also ashamed of the rest of europe… has 50+ years of peace made us forget how to fight for ourselves? We all sit and watch what so many died for… being been taken away from us, EU will wage WAR!!!

  22. AberTous Says:

    Congratulations …
Congratulations Eastern Europe, you’ve now traded in one dictatorship for another. EUSSR will rule Europe by brute-force for a hundred years and leave the continent in a state of economically and socially bankruptcy, ruin, bloodshed and civil war.

  23. Indubitabil02 Says:

    This is a good …
This is a good video in an idealistic sort of way, but here in Romania at least 90% of the political class is either former communists, former Securitate members or collaborators. Life is still hard in Romania, no infrastructure is being built, we are still plagued with corruption on all leveles of society, we do not feel like we live in a true democratic state. Indeed, free travel is the only good thing we have in 20 years of so-called democracy

  24. Niinimaeki Says:

    I hope we can …
I hope we can finally be as one nation.

  25. ImperialBritishLion Says:
