Anaglypta, Corrigated Wings and the Moon

I used anaglypta…or embossed…wallpaper border for the upper right rectangle. In addition to being available as a border, it is also available in rolls like regular wallpaper. I have also seen ceiling medallions for around the base ceiling lights. To glue it, I used ordinary white glue. Put a book underneath the canvas to create a solid background that you can put weight on during the drying process…that creates a very good bond. Don’t forget to place non-stick aluminum foil on it so any excess glue won’t stick to one of your books. :-) The stencil was my mother’s, probably dating back to the 1940’s or earlier.

    Hi and welcome, …
Hi and welcome, Carla! Yes, it is finished except for covering up the staples on the side…it was a very inexpensive canvas and not gallery wrapped. I have been planning on doing a video not just about that piece but other projects I am working on. Can’t believe I haven’t done a video since February!
