How can i cut texture wallpaper into 9inch wall border?

I just purchased a home and in master bedroom there is a existing wall border that needs to get covered by new wall border. I am unavailable to find a wall border that matches my wall paint….There is no company who sells border in my area! Anyhow, I tried cutting the paper but was not able to get perfect cut because it’s a textured wall paper…Any advice?

You could try and getting hold of a length of timber 9 inches wide and some clean plywood lay the plywood on a flat surface like the floor with one edge laid up to the wall now lay your wallpaper on the plywood also with one edge near to the wall and lay your 9 inch timber onto those again keeping tight to the wall and then get a stanley knife and cut along the edge of the timber giving you a 9 inch strip, the plywood will prevent you from damaging the floor and the idea of keeping up against the wall will keep your timber from moving so you should get a good cut, failing that try taking the paper to your local wallpaper shop and they might cut it for you.
