Find a spray bottle you can use and put hot water in it. Let the water sit there for atleast 10-15 minutes, it will almost dry again, then spray it again and take your wallpaper scraper to it. Whenever you take wallpaper off, don't use anything fancy. Hot water works best in my opinion. Tear off the decorative part by hand, then spray the paper layer underneath with water and let it sit there like I said. Almost all of it will easily scrape off. Afterwards, you have to clean the wall with a washcloth or something like it. When you do this, you can easily get off anything that was left behind. I recommend whenever you take off wallpaper to use a fine sandpaper to smooth out the wall after it's removed and spackled, clean off the dust with a wet towel, then use a primer before painting the actual color. If it's a dark color you can have them tint your primer so the dark color won't need as many coats.
References :
I've taken off a ton of wallpaper!!!!

I have heard alot about chemicals...and a ball type thing that you roll around that has little sharps on it to perferate the paper, then a slovent, honestly though....having removed wall paper on numerous occassions, if you first remove the printed paper, that should come off easily, you will be left with an adhesive backing, take HOT soapy water and soak it through, then with a scraper remove it, it should be VERY easy and take little effert
References :
there is a tool you can get at any hardware store, it should be pretty cheap. it is a wallpaper scorer. it has little blades that will cut into the wallpaper(but not the wall) to allow moisture to get to the center. once you have scored the wallpaper, i'd suggest a wallpaper stripper, which can be bought pretty cheap as well. just spray it over the scored wallpaper, wait however long the bottle suggests and then remove it with a flat scraper. good luck :)
References :
You can mix downy with water and spray the area. Let it sit then scrape. Or you can buy some formula at the store that has enzymes in it but it work the same as the downy.
