Help with removing wallpaper border for top of wall?

Posted by admin on March 9th, 2010 and filed under wallpaper and border | 2 Comments »

I am trying to remove a border from the top of my living room wall but it is not coming off easily.
Is there an easier way. I soaked it using hot hater and soap, let it set and tried to scrap/ peel it off. It comes off in small peices and there is a lot of little bits that won’t come off.
Help!!
Am I missing an easier way?
Something i don’t have to run out and buy because I want to get it done tonight after my daughter goes to bed in a few hours.

try using a BLow dryer heating it may help andIf the adhesive is stubborn, you might have to resort to dampening the paper with white vinegar, which is a solvent for the glue.

2 things. If the wall wasn’t prepared properly, you’ve got a real job. Second, if it’s vinyl paper, peel off the vinyl part and soak the backing with hot water and fabric softener. It should just wipe off after soaking.
