Border

We have chosen the "Jungle Animals" theme for our nursery. The crib set with the jungle animals theme is mostly light green and yellow with the jungle animals I’d like the walls to be a pale yellow, but I’m not crazy about wallpaper border. What else can I do to carry the theme around the room? Is wallpaper border the best choice in this case? I already bought some of those wall stickers in jungle animal theme to put on the walls around the room (like above the crib). Any other ideas? If you think the wallpaper is a good idea…should it go at the top near the ceiling or around the middle?

   I like wallpaper, but you could also do a stencil:

   if you do the wallpaper border, I would place it somewhere in the middle of the wall (like 1/3 from the ceiling) and then paint different colors above & below the paper.

   I would get a leaf stencil from a home improvement store or hobby shop and stencil leaves as a border and possibly down the corners.

   That would keep the jungle theme and be easier to cover when it’s time to redecorate.

   Or what if you found bamboo poles (at home depot in garden section) and hang them where the border would go-you could have the jungle animals looking like they are hanging from it.

   I’m not very partial to wallpaper borders because you’ll want to take it down in the not so distant future. I think it’s good though to have something up there for baby’s eyes to explore.

   Sounds like a fun room!
