I have a pretty plain kitchen, and I was thinking about putting up a border around with roosters on it to liven it up. Is this in style any more?
Borders are not what is considered in style any more, but that does not mean you cannot put up a cheery border if you want it. Colour blocking, framed artwork/photos, metal wall art…are all ways to brighten up spaces now, but if this border makes you smile and is happy, then put it up. It is your home to decorate as you like. You should love your kitchen..we spend a lot of time in this room and it needs to be decorated to feel welcoming to you and your family/friends.

I read somewhere that borders are out. What you might consider is painting more than color. Think outside the box, maybe use lines or other shapes in color, rather than just flat colors.

80 ish. not in todays style….consider color to spice up the room ….
